Dr Fares Seffen: hair restoration physician in Tunis
Dr Fares Seffen is a physician whose practice is devoted to hair restoration and FUE hair transplantation in Tunis, Tunisia. He is registered with the Tunisian medical council, the Conseil National de l'Ordre des Médecins, under number 19953. He holds the French inter-university diploma in morphological and anti-ageing medicine and the European inter-university diploma in the treatment of baldness (Claude Bernard University, Lyon).
After his first procedures alongside leading hair transplant physicians in France and Belgium, Dr Seffen opened his clinic fully dedicated to the treatment of baldness and hair restoration, in which he trains his team of medical assistants in hair transplant techniques.
He could have opened a general clinic; he chose the opposite: to devote himself to a single craft, hair transplantation. His highly specialised clinic is focused on a single gesture, taken as far as it can go and practised with rigour: high-end hair transplantation.
Dr Seffen participates actively and several times a year in the different events and workshops of the ISHRS (International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery), the ESHRS (European Society of Hair Restoration Surgery) and the World FUE Institute (WFI), and keeps the clinic's instruments in step with what is presented there.

Meeting the patient's expectations
A hair transplant cannot be done twice. The hairline drawn on the day of the procedure is the one you will wear for the rest of your life. That is why it belongs to you: your face, your age and the way you wear your hair decide it, never a template applied to everyone.
Listening is where it starts, not where it ends. The hairline patients ask for is often the one they had at twenty, and it would not hold: the face changes over the years, and hair loss carries on. Fifteen years of daily practice teach you to see where a hairline will stand in ten or twenty years' time. So Dr Seffen tells you what is possible, what is not, and why he recommends one line rather than another: the one that will still suit you at that age.
The same caution governs the donor area. It is a finite reserve, and it has to last a lifetime of hair loss: grafts are never spent to reach a headline figure, large cases are often spread over two consecutive days, and some requests are declined, because the loss is not yet stable, because a scalp condition has to be treated first, or because no operation could deliver what is hoped for.
That is only possible with one surgical patient a day. There are no simultaneous procedures and no assembly line: Dr Seffen plans the surgery, performs the extraction and creates every recipient site himself, and operates with the same full-time team, under his direct supervision, from the first appointment to the result at fifteen months.
