Hair transplant results from the clinic, case by case, with the figures that matter: age, Norwood stage and graft count.
What these photos show
That is the whole point. If people can tell you had a transplant, it failed, no matter how many grafts were placed. Three things make the difference, and they are very small details.
The tiny irregularities. A real hairline is never straight. It moves forward, it moves back, a few hairs step out of line. That slight untidiness is what looks real, and it has to be rebuilt by hand, graft by graft.
The exit angle. Every hair leaves the scalp on a slant, and that slant changes depending on the part of the head. Planted straight, a hair stands up and will not comb like the others. Planted at the right angle, it falls in with the rest: you cannot pick it out.
The density. It has to fade gradually towards the back, never stop all at once. A hard edge is spotted immediately.
These choices are made before surgery, on your face, and according to your age: a hairline drawn for a man of twenty-seven will no longer suit him at fifty.
Every procedure shown here was planned and carried out by Dr Seffen with his full-time team. One patient a day, for fifteen years, that is what leaves the time to get these details right.
